Part Time Sales and Marketing Representative

About Us: 

We are two experienced caterers who have been working together for the past six years. Between us, we have over 30 years of large scale catering, private cheffing and event production. We have produced a successful series of popups dinners as well as working together on freelance catering work that recently went on hiatus due to the pandemic.  We have taken this time to formalize our business and form a true partnership. We have the business structure in place and now need someone who can bring in the revenue to pay for it. 


About the Job: 

This is a part time job (15-20 hours a week) to start as we are building our business from the ground up during the pandemic. As business and our capacity to serve grows, we will expand the hours of this position with the eye on eventually becoming a full time role. You would be working closely with us and our PR representative to define what the Sales and Marketing process will look like for us. A brief job description is below that is not limited to the following but should give you a guideline of what we need. This may seem like a lot, but we need someone who will push our revenue to make it worth it. 


  • Work closely with the Chief Creative Officer and Chief Operating Officer to create, manage and report on sales and marketing.

  • Maintain an active pipeline of potential catering, concessions and packaged meal delivery sales. 

  • Maintain and deliver weekly reporting of sales pipeline and other efforts. 

  • Where necessary, negotiate pricing and menus with clients for drop off catering that ensures return on COGS and operational costs. 

  • Use social media and email marketing to drive new leads and brand awareness.

  • Identify and approach prospects for bar sales, whether on site concessions or drop off services. 

  • Develop process for acquiring new packaged meal delivery clients and retaining existing ones. 

  • Draw up and secure execution of contracts for sales ensuring accuracy and enforceability.

  • Engage with local charities for donations as a form of marketing.



  • Bay Area local 

  • 2-3 years catering or food service sales experience 

  • Familiar with systems such as Airtable, Zoom and Todoist. Open to other systems if you can make the case for them.

  • Familiarity with French, Italian and Spanish cuisines preferred. While you will not need cooking experience, you should know something about cooking and serving these foods as a service. 

  • Open to learning new systems and ideas, as well as sharing your knowledge. 

  • Communicative and team player. As comfortable on the phone as speaking face to face. 

  • You hate being late.  No really, you hate it. 

  • Creative and collaborative problem solver.
